Mérida International Airport (MID)
The closest airport is Mérida International Airport (MID), located about 20–25 minutes from most hotels in the city. We recommend booking flights directly with the airlines and keeping in mind that, depending on your departure city, connections or separate airlines may be required.
Once in Mérida, transportation is simple:
-Uber is available throughout the city
-Local taxis are widely accessible
-Rental cars are recommended if visiting nearby cenotes or haciendas
-The historic center is very walkable
Advance airport transfer arrangements are recommended for international guests to ensure a smooth experience.
Transportation to and from the wedding venue will be provided. Pickup locations and times will be shared closer to the date.
In Mérida, March is typically warm to hot, with sunny days and temperatures ranging from the low 70s to mid-90s °F (22–34°C). Evenings remain pleasantly warm, making it ideal for outdoor celebrations.
Light, breathable clothing (linen or cotton), comfortable shoes or sandals, sunglasses, and a hat are recommended for daytime. Don’t forget high-SPF sunscreen, a swimsuit, and a light cover-up for pool or beach time. For evening events, opt for dressy yet lightweight outfits, with an optional light layer for air-conditioned spaces. Essentials like insect repellent and a reusable water bottle will help you stay comfortable throughout your stay.
While many places accept credit cards, we recommend carrying some cash (Mexican pesos) for smaller vendors, tips, taxis, and local markets. ATMs are widely available in Mérida, and typically offer the best exchange rates—just be sure to use machines located inside banks or hotels for security. It’s helpful to have small bills on hand.
